Saddle

$40,500

Sold

In the 1800s, the “golden age” of ranching in California brought recognition throughout the horse world of the renowned California stock horse. Pedrini’s anniversary saddle belongs to that era. From its period-perfect floral carving to the silver thread embroidered, bear-hide trimmed saddlebags and sterling silver cantle and horn bindings, every detail of construction and embellishment has been carefully considered and executed. It is a tour de force of the saddler’s art, reminding us of those glory days.

The saddle includes period-style sterling conchas by Scott Hardy, sterling silver bindings by Chuck Stormes, saddletree and rings by Janneman Pienaar and a handmade horsehair cinch by Helen Dougal.
