Santa Ynez Reins and Romal

Rawhide Reins & Romal

$10,500

Sold

Crafted of all-natural Red Angus cowhide, these reins consist of two tiny eight-plait bodies, each with a rolled leather core, coming together for the button pattern in a 16-plait body, while the third continues down through the middle as a core.

The romal consists of a 16-plait body over a braided rawhide core, featuring round and flat braids throughout with fine buttons of the same natural Red Angus cowhide. Emeritus member Rick Bean hand-tooled the romal popper in a unique spiral pattern.

Feather Quirt

Rawhide Quirt

$9,500

Sold

This one-of-a-kind quirt has a dyed, 16-plait rawhide body over a double twisted rawhide core. Wald used both natural and dyed rawhide in the fine buttons that make up the handle and decorate the body. The wrist strap is a tiny 16-plait braid of horsehide over a rolled leather core.

The amazing leather popper, depicting a very real-looking feather, was hand-sculpted and painted by Rick Bean.
